About

About

Organised by the Tennis Foundation, the British Open is one of six Super Series events on the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour and one of the most important tournaments in the world outside of the Grand Slams.

Alongside our main Super Series event, in 2018 we also have an ITF Futures and a Junior tournament taking place. The ITF Futures, which takes place from Thursday 19 July until Saturday 21 July is an International event for those players trying to break into the world’s top player rankings.

Our Junior tournament takes place on Saturday 21 July and Sunday 22 July and is for players aged 18 or under. There will be events for beginner players, which will focus on fun and friendship, as well as some more competitive groups which will include those players who represent their home nation at the School Games National Finals and Great Britain at World Team Cup. Seeing young players enjoying their tennis and pushing themselves past boundaries they didn’t know they could cross is truly inspirational.
