The aim of the fundraising division is not only to bring in the valuable funds needed to develop tennis in this country, but also to raise public awareness, spread our message and get more people involved and enjoying the sport. We can make real positive changes to the foundation and recreational level of tennis for all ages and abilities, creating an environment of sustainable coaching and competition.

The Tennis Foundation's annual Christmas fundraising event took place at Hampton Court Palace on Tuesday 8h December 2009 and was attended by a host of stars and supporters of the charity.

Vice President of the Tennis Foundation Sir Cliff Richard and Executive Director Sue Mappin invited guests including Cilla Black, Alan Titchmarsh and Ainsley Harriot and the special guests of the evening were Deaflympics gold medalists Catherine Graham and Anthony Sinclair. The event was also attended by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester.
Entertainment followed the dinner with world famous percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie performing three pieces on a marimba. Brian Connely's comedy routine followed with Sir Cliff Richard joining in to perform a duet and then carrying on to sing old favourites 'Summer Holiday'' and ''Living Doll''. A Grand Raffle was held during the evening and a once in a lifetime experience for 8 people to attend Men's Finals Day at Wimbledon 2010 was auctioned off. The spectacular evening ended with the wonderful London Community Gospel Choir singing Christmas Carols.
