Build a Beacon operation in a Park

The Tennis Foundation wants to get people playing in parks and community courts, and we need your help. Turn tennis into a career by building a Beacon Operation in a park with our support.

Already involved?

If you are currently running a tennis program on your community courts, or are involved in volunteering in tennis, we want to know. You could become a Beacon site. Fill us in on your experiences so that we can learn from each other.

A Beacon Site facility will have visible courts with an existing programme for all ages and abilities.

In year one we aim to establish 50 Beacon sites across the UK.

Coming Soon

The Tennis Foundation would like to give Coaches and tennis providers an opportunity to start their own tennis program - Beacon Sites

We will work with local authorities and you to develop Beacon sites, which will deliver local tennis opportunities for all ages and abilities.

The program is still being developed but for example people would play free for social use - but you could charge for coaching, tournament play, selling kit, and refreshments etc.

Local authority long lease arrangements would be essential and there could be funding to get you going.
