Local Competitions

The current priority for schools competition is to increase the amount of local, entry-level competitive tennis opportunities available through schools.

Working closely with the Youth Sport Trust (England), Year 3&4 primary and Year 7&8 secondary school competitions have been developed as ‘priority’ events to work specifically with the Competition Manager network. Similar priority local competitions exist and/or are developing for the networks in Scotland and Wales.

In addition, there are many different types of other inter and intra school competition that can
be run in schools.

Resources:

The Schools Tennis Competition Guide is an interactive CD-Rom, which has been designed for teachers and the school sport infrastructure, to make competition in schools as easy to run as possible. The Guide contains over 40 resources and templates, many of which can be edited.
