Secondary Schools
The 3hr Secondary Schools Tennis Teacher Training Course has been developed to provide teachers with the confidence and knowledge to deliver traditional and modified versions of the sport.
The course also demonstrates an innovative new resource which has been developed to assist teachers in assessing the ability of pupils against National Curriculum attainment levels, through a range of descriptor cards and film clips.
Teachers attending the course are also provided with an overview of other areas of support and resource, including; cross curricular activities, competition, alternative delivery using Cardio Tennis, leadership & volunteering and how tennis can contribute to the delivery of external PE qualifications.
Schools attending the course receive a free copy of the innovative new 'Secondary Schools Tennis - Teacher Resource'. Schools are also provided with 1 year of free Schools Tennis Membership, which provides access to a wide range of benefits, including 30-40% discount on equipment.

Traditional Delivery:
A series of lesson plans providing the structure and content for 6 lessons, using the traditional method of delivery on tennis courts.
Modified Delivery Mini Tennis:
A series of lesson plans providing the structure and content for 6 lessons, using Mini Tennis as a modified method of delivery in a sports hall or on tennis courts.
Alternative Delivery (Cardio Tennis):
An overview of Cardio Tennis as an alternative method of delivery within Secondary Schools.
Assessing Ability:
A series of descriptor cards and film clips developed to assist teachers in assessing the ability of pupils against the National Curriculum attainment target levels.
Links to Qualifications:
An overview of some resources and courses British Tennis has available, which can contribute to and link with external PE qualifications such as GCSE, A Level and BTEC.
Cross Curricular:
A number of lesson plans and resources for Key Stage 3 covering a range of subjects, using tennis as the theme.
