About:

Born with spina bifida, Ruairi took up wheelchair tennis aged 7. From first training with Winning Wheels Wheelchair Tennis Club in Edinburgh, he is now coached by former Paralympian Kevin Simpson. His role model is Rio 2016 Paralympic gold medallist Gordon Reid, Britain’s first ever Paralympic men’s singles champion. Ruairi made his Great Britain debut at the 2015 BNP Paribas World Team Cup.
