Organise a competition
Anyone can run a competition, all you need is access to a local court and an interest in getting involved in tennis. We're here to support you along the way.
We are working closely with the LTA to set up a competition toolkit suitable for all. We want to give you advice on the number of courts you need, how to set up a ladder or draw, and offer you advice and resources that you'll need to run a local competition.

Have fun with competition
Competition is fun. Everyone can play competetive tennis, and by organising a competition you can offer the opportunity to others and take part as well.
There are many different formats of competition, such as:
- Ladders
- House matches
- Team competitions
- Inter-school
- Inter-park
- Leagues
- Cardio Tennis
- Turbo Tennis
- King of the Court
Don't feel you have to play for a trophy, why not play for a bouquet of flowers, or a bottle of wine? Competition can be social: challenge your mates during the lunch hour; just a tie break will do.
Competition in schools
We want schools to have competition both in and out of school. Set up ladders, house matches, even tie-breaks at tea-time. Why not organise a competition with your neighbouring school? You can even turn it into a curriculum exercise. For more information on schools tennis and getting involved visit our Schools & Colleges section
