Our aim is to place tennis at the centre of local communities. To make it a sport that more and more people want to play, a sport for families and friends, for players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We believe it can be an activity that can bring the whole community together.
With over 300 indoor and 250 outdoor tennis courts, our national network of 53 Community Indoor Tennis Centres (CITCs) is central to this vision. The first CITC was opened in 1987. Now, in partnership with the LTA, we’ve put in place a new jointly-funded strategy to re-vitalise the network. We’re supporting centre operators to ensure the long-term sustainability of CITCs, keeping the doors open for everyone who wants to play.
