National Programme

 

The TF administers a number of programmes in partnership with the British Deaf Tennis Association and other relevant bodies to increase the number of deaf people playing tennis and to encourage more players from beginner right through to international level. Programme Aims and Goals

  • Increase the numbers of deaf and hearing impaired people having access to and playing tennis regularly.
  • Develop hub sites for deaf tennis, where development squads can grow and provide feeder programmes for the national framework.
  • Establish Talent ID mechanisms through regional and national activities.
  • Improve playing standards of national level players and develop a strong and competitive national squad identity.
  • Achieve credible performances at international competition.
