Fundraising

The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust aims to raise a minimum of £50,000 a year in order to fulfil its target of provision of grant aid. We rely very heavily on personal donations and support from clubs, events and organisations.

Celebrity Golf Challenge

For 10 years this annual event has been the Trust's major fundraising showpiece. Staged at the magnificent Wentworth Club, teams of 4 compete together with celebrities who this year included our Vice-Presidents Virginia Wade and Dave Green sports presenters - Chris Hollins and David Croft from the BBC; Marcus Buckland and Barry Cowan from Sky Sports; Tiff Needell from "Fifth Gear" and Alan Durban, ex- Derby County and Welsh International who was in the winning team. (The Golf Challenge will not be run in 2009 due to the closure of courses at Wentworth.

It will return on 15 June 2010. Please let us know if you are interested in this event.
